Afterword
- Regardless of if your board works out or not, it's an experience that you won't forget. You will learn a lot and have lots of transferrable skills.
- Even with a product that doesn't work, you can still get a good grade and have a good presentation for design day as long as you're honest and talk about why.
- As long as you follow some sort of plan like this, no sane judge or sponsor or mentor won't tell you that you didn't try enough.
- It's a good story and a good experience to have, even if it doesn't work. If you think a PCB is worth your while for Senior Design, you should try it. But be warned, make sure you give yourself enough time.
I had to do all the above in the span of 3 months at the start of January. I don't have enough time to get a Take 2. I hope that my diatribe here helps someone in starting early and not end up in my position.
And anyone is free to message me here if you have any other questions.
